FORUM «ASEAN-RUSSIA ANIMATION MARKET»
Against the backdrop of increasing demand for local and family-oriented content, the rapid development of digital platforms, the growing influence of children's and youth media consumption, and expanding opportunities for co-production among friendly countries, there is a growing need for a dedicated international platform that fosters professional dialogue between the Russian Federation and the ASEAN Member States in the field of animation. The ASEAN-Russia Animation Market is an international forum held as part of the 5th Animur International Animation Film Festival in Khabarovsk, Russian Federation.

The forum will bring together representatives of animation studios, production companies, producers, distributors, educational institutions, development agencies, digital platforms, festivals, foundations, and professional associations from Russia and the ASEAN region, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. The forum serves as the flagship offline component of the Russia-ASEAN Animation Connect initiative, which also includes a comprehensive study of the animation industries in Russia and ASEAN countries, the launch of a bilingual information platform, the ASEAN-Russia Animation Lab, an international online professional laboratory for animation creators and industry professionals.

About festival
ANIMUR is the easternmost animation festival in Russia— a meeting place and platform for dialogue between audiences, creators, experts, and representatives of the animation industry from Russia, the Asia-Pacific region, and Southeast Asia. It serves as a space for exchanging experience, a source of inspiration, and a celebration of the art of animation.

In 2024, the festival became the largest animation festival in Russia by number of submissions, receiving 2,300 entries from 102 countries worldwide, in 2026 this record has been broken, receiving 2,970 entries from 111 countries worldwide.
Our mission
Our mission is to shape a new and unique creative direction formed at the intersection of the traditions of the Russian animation school and cultural connections with Asian countries. We not only discover new talents, but also inspire audiences, broaden their perception of animation as an art form, cultivate a mature viewing culture, position animation as a dynamic contemporary art form, and provide creators with opportunities for self-expression and finding their audience.
Each year, the festival brings together
Projection equipment: slide projectors, presentations, overhead projectors, and computer projectors.
