About festival
ANIMUR is the easternmost animation festival in Russia— a meeting place and platform for dialogue between audiences, creators, experts, and representatives of the animation industry from Russia, the Asia-Pacific region, and Southeast Asia. It serves as a space for exchanging experience, a source of inspiration, and a celebration of the art of animation.

In 2024, the festival became the largest animation festival in Russia by number of submissions, receiving 2,300 entries from 102 countries worldwide, in 2026 this record has been broken, receiving 2,970 entries from 111 countries worldwide.
Our mission
Our mission is to shape a new and unique creative direction formed at the intersection of the traditions of the Russian animation school and cultural connections with Asian countries. We not only discover new talents, but also inspire audiences, broaden their perception of animation as an art form, cultivate a mature viewing culture, position animation as a dynamic contemporary art form, and provide creators with opportunities for self-expression and finding their audience.
Each year, the festival brings together
Projection equipment: slide projectors, presentations, overhead projectors, and computer projectors.
